AHPA ERB Foundation expands board with additions of Steven Dentali and Susan Leopold

ERB Foundation promotes education and research on medicinal, therapeutic, and health-promoting herbs

The AHPA Foundation for Education and Research on Botanicals (ERB Foundation) is pleased to announce the expansion of its board of directors with the additions of Steven Dentali, Ph.D., and Susan Leopold, Ph.D., executive director at United Plant Savers (UpS).

"The AHPA ERB Foundation is grateful to Susan and Steven for volunteering their time and expertise to further the goals of the foundation," said ERB Foundation Board Chair Elizabeth Lambert, CEO of Herbalist and Alchemist. "Steven and Susan are longtime herbal industry experts and their support will strengthen the board and the foundation."

In addition to her role at UpS, Leopold also serves as an advisory board member of the American Botanical Council (ABC), and as a board member of Botanical Dimensions and the Center for Sustainable Economy.

"I look forward to contributing to the AHPA ERB Foundation, which engages in unique and critical initiatives to promote education and research on medicinal, therapeutic and health promoting herbs," Leopold said.

Dentali has more than 25 years of post-graduate experience in the U.S. Dietary Supplement industry and currently serves as a member of the U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) Standards Expert Committee: Botanical Dietary Supplements and Herbal Medicines and as a member of the USP Dietary Supplements and Herbal Medicines Nomenclature Subcommittee. He is also Past Editorial Board Chair of AOAC International.

"The AHPA ERB Foundation has a history of providing valuable research to the herbal industry and I am excited to contribute to these intitiatives," Dentali said.

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) established the AHPA Foundation for Education and Research on Botanicals (AHPA ERB Foundation) as a 501(c)(3) foundation for the purpose of promoting education and research on medicinal, therapeutic, and health-promoting herbs.
