A form such as this can be used to label processing rooms, lines, and/or equipment while cleanup is occurring. Cleaning SOP references are especially useful if multiple cleaning SOPs exist for the same equipment or room. Also, it is optional to assign a cleaning expiration date, but these may be useful in case the equipment or room is not used for an extended period of time, in which case re-cleaning may be appropriate. Once the cleaning is complete, a “Clean” sticker may be applied to the “Status” section of the label. When a new batch is brought into the area for processing, the Cleaning label may be inserted into the batch record for the new batch; this serves to document as part of the new batch record what was produced on the equipment immediately prior to the current batch. Other companies simply place a sign or placard on the room door or equipment to denote its status (e.g. “Clean,” “To be cleaned,” “Production in process”).
