In this case the form is customized for the purpose of documenting the periodic calibration of a temperature/humidity meter. While it isn’t required to customize forms (as opposed to using a generic format for all types of equipment), the use of forms optimized for each purpose can provide clarity and consistency. In this case, the basic calibration log has been modified to specify the calibration frequency, acceptance criteria, and procedure reference as well as to provide additional space to record the multiple reference standards used.
