AHPA expands COVID Web Center with vaccine distribution resources

January 6, 2021: Updates reflect industry need for advance vaccine planning

Published: Wednesday, January 6, 2021

AHPA has expanded the resources available on its COVID-19 Web Center to help the herbal products industry prepare for vaccine distribution efforts. Vaccine distribution is already ongoing, and important allocation decisions may need to be made with very little advance notice. AHPA encourages members of the herbal products industry to study state vaccine distribution policies, identify public health contacts, and plan for these moments before they occur.

Newly available resources on the Web Center include links to the CDC’s latest vaccine guidelines, a compendium of vaccine distribution plans and contacts across all fifty states, information about equal employment opportunity issues involved in vaccine distribution, and a link to the CDC’s post-vaccination outcomes tracking system, “V-safe”.

AHPA intends to update the WebCenter on a timely basis as new information becomes available. However, especially given the rapidly evolving nature of these issues, AHPA cannot guarantee the completeness, currency, or accuracy of information included on or linked from the WebCenter. AHPA recommends that members use the WebCenter as just one resource for relevant information on COVID-19 issues and, as needed, consult their own legal and regulatory experts.
