AHPA welcomes new Board Trustees and Officers

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) completed the election for vacancies on its Board of Trustees at the AHPA Annual Member Meeting on March 9, 2022.


The newly elected trustees are:

  • Nils Mueggenburg (Mueggenburg Farms)
  • Sara Newmark (True Grace)
  • Beth Moore Roberts (MegaFood)
  • Sarah Vito (Yellow Emperor)

In addition, AHPA members re-elected the following incumbents for additional 3-year terms:

  • Leah Porter (Naturex)
  • Graham Rigby (Care/of)
  • Jeremy Stewart (Gaia Herbs)
  • Alessandra Storzini (Indena)

These eight newly elected and re-elected individuals join AHPA’s Board of Trustees, which represents the broad range of AHPA membership.

“As AHPA celebrates our 40th anniversary this year, we extend our sincere thanks and utmost gratitude to our Board of Trustees, without whom we would not be able to carry out AHPA’s mission,” said AHPA President Michael McGuffin. “Our trustees bring valuable experience and insight to the table and, together with AHPA staff and members, we look forward to taking the lead on opportunities and challenges facing the herbal and natural products industry ahead.”

The new board held its first meeting on March 9, 2022, and elected officers and members of the association’s Executive Committee for the upcoming year, as follows:

  • Chair: Kristina Tucker (The Republic of Tea)
  • Vice-Chair: Troy Smillie (Herbalife Nutrition)
  • Secretary: Erin Smith (Banyan Botanicals)
  • Treasurer: Mitch Coven (Vitality Works)
  • Executive Committee: Beth Lambert (Herbalist & Alchemist), Elan Sudberg (Alkemist Labs), Steven Yeager (Mountain Rose Herbs)
