AHPA Chief Information Analyst Merle Zimmermann, Ph.D. provided cGMP compliance resources to herbalists attending the American Herbalist Guild (AHG) 29th Annual Symposium in Georgia last week.

Dr. Zimmermann was also awarded "Best Contribution to Knowledge" by AHG for his poster submission, which details recent cGMP inspection and compliance trends. In addition to the poster, Dr. Zimmermann provided a host of other AHPA resources, including:

"AHPA greatly appreciates the opportunity to share resources with members of the American Herbalist Guild," Dr. Zimmermann said. "These type of partnerships help the entire herbal supplement industry understand the regulatory obligations required by U.S. law that are designed to ensure the quality and efficacy of these products."

Dr. Zimmermann will be presenting the latest FDA cGMP inspection and industry compliance trends at a two-part webinar in December.
