Import Detentions Database

The American Herbal Products Association's (AHPA) Import Detentions Database program is designed to record incidents of import detentions and other border-related regulatory obstacles. AHPA’s Import Detentions Database gathers information from industry via an online form that may be emailed or faxed to the association.

Your confidential submission will assist in revealing patterns — such as the types of products detained, how long they are held, and direct and indirect expenses — to evaluate the impact on trade of recent detentions and determine their business and economic effects.

AHPA needs your help in order to populate the database. If you have had a shipment detained within the past three to six months, please download the form (see link below) and submit it to AHPA.

All information will be kept confidential; all company and import broker names will be redacted prior to use outside of AHPA staff. Companies that do not belong to AHPA are also encouraged to participate as the industry as a whole will benefit from this initiative.

The form for submitting your information is online. This simple and direct form contains interactive form fields.

Once complete, simply click the box at the bottom of the form to submit the form automatically via email (ahpa@ahpa.org), or print out and fax to AHPA (301-588-1174).
