2022 AHPA Awards recognize those making a difference in the herbal community

AHPA is pleased to announce the 2022 recipients of the annual AHPA Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the continued success of the herbal products industry and wider herbal community. The awards were presented today, March 9, 2022, at the AHPA Annual Member Meeting at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA.

AHPA: Mandatory product listing could restrict access to supplements

As part of its self-proclaimed intent to modernize dietary supplement regulation, FDA has called for Congress to require mandatory product listing (MPL) of all dietary supplements in the U.S. marketplace.

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) has released its preliminary schedule of committee meetings and events in Spring 2022. AHPA’s in-person events and hybrid meetings will be hosted at Natural Products Expo West, March 8-12, 2022, in Anaheim, CA, followed by virtual committee meetings on Zoom, March 16-25, 2022.

In 2021, the American Herbal Products Association Foundation for Education and Research on Botanicals (AHPA ERB Foundation) announced its commitment to funding a five-year harvest impact study on goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) led by principal investigator Katie Commender, Agroforestry Program Director, Appalachian Sustainable Development.
